A woven, solution-dyed polyester with a urethane coating: it repels moisture instead of absorbing it, defends against UV fading, and resists mould in damp conditions. The coating also holds the fabric dimensionally stable, so it will not shrink or stretch out of shape the way vinyl can.
Screens vary — vinyl texture and sheen won't match a flat swatch exactly. Call us if you're deciding between two shades.

Optional, but the single best thing you can add. A lifter makes opening the spa a one-person job and keeps the cover off the ground — which is what stops the vinyl tearing and the foam waterlogging early.

Every cover is built to order. Express delivery runs 3–5 weeks and standard runs 7–9 weeks from the date your measurements are confirmed. You can choose express in the Delivery step.
All custom covers carry a 3 Year Limited Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear, weather damage and waterlogging from a torn vapor barrier are not covered.
The foam core is thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges so rain and snow run off instead of pooling. A 4"–2.5" taper suits mild climates; 6"–4" sheds heavier snow and insulates best.
1.5 lb is the standard, energy-efficient core for most climates. 2.0 lb is commercial grade — denser and stiffer, so it holds temperature better and resists sagging under snow.

No. Because each cover is cut and built to your exact measurements, custom covers are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled once production begins. That's why we ask you to confirm your dimensions before checkout.

Measure the hot tub itself — never the old cover. An old cover has almost certainly warped or shrunk, so copying it repeats the error. Use a tape measure and a carpenter's square rather than the manufacturer's spec sheet, and check every number twice: your cover is cut to these figures and cannot be changed once production begins.
Square and rectangular tubs: measure lip to lip across the top, in both directions, at the widest point. Always list the fold side as A. Round to the nearest ¼ inch.
Sit a carpenter's square into the corner and measure from the inside corner of the square to the point where it first touches the tub — that distance is your radius. Master Spas cabinets are a 6" radius. Truly square corners = 0", and you can pick the sharp-cornered shape instead.
The flap that hangs down over the cabinet and seals out wind. Measure from the top of the acrylic shell down to the bottom edge of the rim or wooden ledge. Four inches is the general standard; Master Spas is typically 5". Anything from 1.5" up can be built.
Round: measure straight across the widest point, lip to lip (across the seam) — that single diameter is all we need. Octagon: measure lip to lip across the widest point, then measure one panel from point to point so the panel angles come out right.
Decide which way the cover folds when you open it. Put the hinge where it's easiest to lift from — usually away from your steps or your cover lifter.
Waterfalls, speakers, handrails, ellipses and one-off shapes can't be captured with numbers alone. Trace the outline of the tub onto paper and mark where each obstruction sits. Tick the cut-outs box in step 2 and we'll call you to arrange the template.
